Stephanie Urchick
Rotary International President 2024-25 | Rotary Club of McMurray, PA
Stephanie A. Urchick has been an RI director and Rotary Foundation trustee and has served Rotary in numerous capacities, including as training leader, regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, and RI president’s representative. In addition, Urchick was a representative and member-at-large at three sessions of the Council on Legislation.
Urchick has also served as chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and The Rotary Foundation’s Centennial Celebration Committee, as well as a member of various Rotary committees, including the Election Review Committee and Operational Review Committee.
A Rotary member since 1991, Urchick has participated in a variety of international service projects, including National Immunization Days in India and Nigeria. In Vietnam, she worked with clubs to help build a primary school and traveled to the Dominican Republic to install water filters. A student of several Slavic languages, she has mentored new Rotary members in Ukraine and coordinated a Rotary Foundation grant for mammography equipment and a biopsy unit for a hospital in Poland. In its commemorative book, the Rotary Club of Krakow, Poland, noted Urchick as a key figure for helping the rebirth of Rotary in post-Communist Poland. Urchick has also helped to pair clubs and districts in the U.S. with Rotary clubs in Albania, Kosovo, and Ukraine for humanitarian and educational services.
Urchick’s professional background is in the higher education, consulting, and entertainment industries. She received her doctorate degree in Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has been recognized by The Rotary Foundation and numerous community and international organizations.
Urchick asks members to champion Rotary’s Action Plan so they can improve their clubs and keep Rotary strong, find a balance between continuity and change, and work for peace. She also emphasizes the continuing importance of the effort to eradicate polio. She urges members to join or initiate PolioPlus Societies in their districts and do all they can to help end the disease. Urchick will lead the 2025 Rotary Presidential Peace Conference in Istanbul, Turkey, 20-22 February 2025, with the theme Healing in a Divided World.

Dan Himelspach
Rotary International Director 2023-25 | Denver Mile High Rotary Club
Dan Himelspach was raised on a ranch in southeastern Montana and holds a BS in Chemistry from the SD School of Mines and Technology, a JD from the University of Denver College of Law and a Master Negotiation Certificate from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Dan is the principal of Dispute Management Inc. located in Denver, Colorado. Dan is married to Leslie Lawson, a former Denver District Court Judge. Dan and Leslie have two children, Mariah and Jonathan, who have participated in a wide variety of Rotary projects and events.
Dan joined the Denver Mile High Rotary Club in August 1993 and has served in multiple leadership positions, including President for the Rotary Year 2005-06. Dan has traveled to and been instrumental in many of the Club’s international and local projects. Dan was the Grants Subcommittee Chair for District 5450 for three years.
He served as District 5450 Governor for Rotary Year 2013-14. Dan trained the DGNs at the 2014 Zone Institute. He served as the Zone 27 End Polio Now Coordinator for Rotary Years 2015-17 and as Zones 26-27 Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator for Rotary Years 2017-20. Dan also served as a RI Council on Legislation Representative from 2017-20.
Dan will serve as Director from Rotary Years 2023-25. Dan is a member of the Paul Harris Society and the Bequest Society. He has been awarded several awards for his Rotary service including The Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service.

Jeannine Murrell
District Governor 2024-25 | Rotary Club of Forest Grove
Jeannine grew up in Sacramento California, moved to Oregon in 1989 and settled in Forest Grove in 2002. She served in the US Navy with one tour overseas. Her insurance agency opened in 1992 in Cornelius where she has served the community at large with advice and service. Jeannine has served on the city council in Cornelius, represented her city at County and Regional government boards. She has also served twice as president of the chamber of commerce.
Over the years, Jeannine has worked with and supported many nonprofit service organizations. She is continually active in her church, holding leadership positions in her congregation over the years, Church Moderator, Stephen Minister, and teaching in Sunday School. Jeannine completed her college degree at Marylhurst University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Religious Studies.
Jeannine joined the Rotary Club of Forest Grove Noon in June of 2003. She has held the following positions in the club, member of the Scholarship committee, Sargent at Arms and Membership Chair. Jeannine was Club President 2015-2016, attended the RI convention in Brazil. She has traveled abroad and attended Rotary meetings in Great Britain and Australia. She is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and Paul Harris Society Member.
She chaired the 2017 District Training Assembly for PDG Larry Hatch. Her success and leadership were part of the consideration when Jeannine became an Assistant Governor in 2018 and served the district by leading the Central West Region. District Governor Jim Boyle, recognizing her leadership and organizational skills, asked Jeannine to be the Administrative Assistant Governor / Chief of Staff for Rotary Year 2021-2022.
When Jeannine learned of ShelterBox her future was set on being involved in changing the world for the better. Jeannine became the ShelterBox liaison for her club before advancing to ShelterBox Ambassador. Her work now is to expose more people and community groups to the work of ShelterBox, and the opportunities to support the mission. Her dream is to advance to ShelterBox Response Team Member and actually go out in the field, or as she states, “Drive a water buffalo.”
She lives in Forest Grove with her spouse and “furry kids.” They enjoy sports and when not attending Portland Timbers Football Club games you can find them watching NFL games. They have recently renovated their 1985 VW Westfalia camper van and are looking for opportunities to visit the National Parks. They also enjoy, and are enthusiastic about, hiking, camping, opera, symphony and traveling.
Susanne Holmberg
District Governor Elect (2025-26) | Rotary Club of Three Creeks (Vancouver, WA)
Susanne Holmberg, born and raised in Germany, enjoyed a European education in the hotel industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration, is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) and Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT®); Susanne is a graduate of Leadership Clark County.
Susanne currently holds the position of director of creative strategies and talent development with Vesta Hospitality, a hotel management company in Vancouver, Washington.
Susanne joined her first Rotary club, the Rotary Club of Vancouver, in 2006. In 2016, she had an opportunity to charter the Rotary Club of Three Creeks in Vancouver and served as the club’s first president. She is proud of the club’s many accomplishments and the mentality of doing things differently.
Susanne served three times as club president and as Area Governor of Clark County South. She participated in the District Grow Rotary and Leadership and Development committees, and facilitated workshops at PETS, spring training, and district conference. Susanne is passionate about giving back to her community, fighting food insecurity, and connecting people.
She enjoys photography, traveling, spending time with friends and her dog Lexi.
Susanne has a very personal relationship with Rotary and Rotary members and is looking forward to sharing her story and passion with you.
Renée Fontenot
District Governor Nominee (2026-27) | Rotary Club of Tualatin
Renée J. Fontenot was born in Medford, Oregon, and has lived in several states touching all
regions of the country. She returned to Oregon in 2021, living in Beaverton, and is a member of
the Rotary Club of Tualatin.
Renée joined Rotary in 2005 as a member of the Rotary Club of Milledgeville, GA. In her years
with the club, she was named Rotarian of the Year three times, served in various club board
roles, and served as club president, 2015-2016.
In 2013, she was asked to train and become an RLI Discussion Leader for the Sunshine Division
in Rotary Zone 34. She went on to serve as the District Trainer. In 2014, she stepped up to serve
as a facilitator Peachstate PETS (D6900, D6910, D6920), and later became the Peachstate PETS
Evaluator, serving for six years. After joining District 5100 in 2021, she served as a member and
later co-chair of the Learning & Development Committee.
Beyond Leadership and Training, Renée served on various Rotary District leadership teams
including Public Relations/Public Image, Information & Technology, Awards Committee,
District Conference Committee, AG training Committee, DG Executive team member, and as an
Assistant District Governor for the Portland Metro Region.
Renée has maintained perfect attendance since 2008. In 2016, she was part of a Rotary GSE to
District 1800, Saxony-Anhalt and part of Lower Saxony, Germany.
Renée is a Triple Crown Donor: Paul Harris Fellow Society, Polio Plus Society, Bequest Society,
and Major Donor.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling and being outdoors, especially kayaking and hiking. She is
pleased to have returned to Oregon; being with her family, biological and Rotary; and enjoying
the Pacific Wonderland.
