With the dawning of the New Year comes new service opportunities for Rotarians in our local communities.
Lake Oswego Rotary opens 2026 by providing service through knowledge. The public is invited to its first meeting of the year on Monday, Jan. 5, to hear from Oregon State Economist Carl Riccadonna, who will present his outlook on Oregon’s economy for the upcoming year.
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie will assist St. John’s Episcopal Church with its weekly “Feed The Hungry” event on Sunday, Jan. 11, which provides a warm meal to anyone who needs one in the Milwaukie community.
Clackamas Sunrise Rotary has two service projects on tap in January. At its club meetings on Friday, Jan. 16 and Friday, Jan. 30, the club will accept donations of new gloves, mittens, beanies and scarves for use by the Wichita Center for Family and Community. The club is also lining up members to participate in the mock interview program for high school students in the North Clackamas School District.
Members of the Camas-Washougal Rotary Club will help deliver meals for Washougal’s Meals on Wheels program on Wednesday, Jan. 7, and the Rotary Club of Oregon City will sponsor an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, Jan. 16.

Feed The Hungry

North Clackamas School District Mock Interviews
Members of the Clackamas Sunrise Rotary Club will volunteer at high schools in the North Clackamas School District, conducting mock interviews for students looking to enter the workforce. The project runs from Friday, Jan. 16 to Friday, Jan. 23. Volunteers will conduct mock interviews with small groups of students. Sample questions will be provided, and students will receive instructions about interviewing, resumes, and more.
